AMBROSIA is an upcoming short film, written & directed by Michael Wellvang.
When a date from the other night shows up at Sam’s childhood home claiming to be his long-lost sister, he must confront his conflicting desires--before she exploits them.
SEEKING ROLES FOR:
SAM - Lead. Male, 18. White, lanky, wide-eyed. Stuck at home with an alcoholic mother while his friends have left for college, Sam finds momentary escape wherever he can.
SUSAN - Supporting. Female, 59. White, posh. In the void of her absentee husband and runaway daughter, Susan fills her days with benzos, wine, finely tailored clothing--and lording over her son.
AMBROSIA - Lead. Female, 26. White, alternative. Transient for years, Ambrosia now seeks stability. Her time on the road has taught her to always gain the upper hand. Note: this role features brief nudity. An intimacy coordinator will be present.
Michael has nearly ten years of experience in the film and video industry, primarily on productions in the New York indie scene as an Assistant Director.
Filming will take place for five days between August 1 and August 10, 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
